Why This Course
Parenting and caregiving can feel relentless. Meltdowns, sibling battles, school refusal, screen stress, bedtime chaos, and worries about mental health or school struggles are enough to leave even the most dedicated caregiver drained. For families blessed with neurodiverse children, the load can feel even heavier, as every transition, peer interaction, or call from school adds new stress.
At the same time, parents and caregivers are bombarded with advice — books, blogs, and social feeds all claiming to have the answers. It’s easy to feel like you’re in “expert-mode overload,” overwhelmed while worrying deeply about your child’s well-being, learning, relationships, and future.
The Self-Reg Parenting Course offers a different way forward: the power of reframing. Rooted in the science of stress and self-regulation, it helps you see behaviour not as defiance or failure, but as a sign of excess stress. Stress isn’t the enemy — it becomes a problem when it’s more than a child has the internal and external resources to manage. This course helps you recognize when stress loads are too heavy, understand what’s happening beneath the behaviour, and discover practical strategies to restore calm and strengthen connection at home.
Although much of the course draws on examples from younger children and elementary years, it also includes scenarios relevant for older children and teens. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, guardian, adoptive or foster parent — there’s something here for you.
